Nash’s Good Advice

Meet Mohammad Nashruddin, Physiotherapist, St Andrew’s Community Hospital. He has been working for 2 years and has recently taken up the role in palliative care.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF IN 1 LINE.

I enjoy putting positive meaning, into every event of my life.

TELL US SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU.

I like watching personal development videos, it keeps me motivated and I watch it during my lunch time. I started watching these videos, when I wanted to occupy my free time with something positive and beneficial. It helps in recharging myself after a long day at work and it gives meaning to my life. Occasionally, I like to bring my daughter out for a jog as it keeps my blood pumped up and relieves stress.

WHAT’S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?

I believe that everything is nothing until you give meaning to it. You can put a positive meaning to any challenge that comes along your way.

TELL US ABOUT A TIME WHEN THIS PIECE OF ADVICE CAME IN USEFUL.

In any difficult situation I face, I try to reap a positive lesson from a negative situation. I may sometimes hurt my friends with thoughtless remarks. Thus I try to reap a lesson from this particular incident, so that I don’t commit the same mistake again. I don’t blame people for being sensitive, but I blame myself for not managing myself better.
